What it is
A prosthesis on implants is anchored onto one or more dental implants already integrated into the bone, rather than resting on natural teeth, within our dental prosthetics area.
Advantages over a prosthesis on natural teeth
It doesn’t require wearing down any natural tooth to act as support, and the anchor in the bone offers a stability and bite feel very similar to your own tooth, especially valuable in full-arch restorations.

What the process looks like
- Scanning the implant We digitally record the implant's exact position to design a precisely fitting prosthesis.
- Design and manufacturing The lab manufactures the prosthesis with CAD software and a milling machine or 3D printing, screwed or cemented depending on the case.
- Fitting and adjustment We check the fit and bite before finalising the treatment.
Frequently asked questions
Is the prosthesis screwed or cemented onto the implant?
Both options are possible. A screwed-in prosthesis can be removed for check-ups or repairs; a cemented one is fixed in a way that's more similar to a natural tooth. We decide based on your case.
Is it more durable than a prosthesis on natural teeth?
An implant can't develop decay and provides a very stable anchor in the bone, which usually translates into greater durability if good hygiene is maintained.
How long after the implant is the final prosthesis fitted?
Usually about two months, the time the implant needs to integrate into the bone, unless you opt for the immediate-loading protocol.
